A Boston Love Story
There's something poetic about a wedding where the groom is known for chasing the best bite in every city, and the bride is the one who taught him how to keep chasing it, healthily.
That's exactly the story we got to capture on August 3rd, at the stunning Saphire Estate in Sharon, Massachusetts.
Meet the Couple
He's a food blogger, always hunting for the next great meal in Boston and beyond. She's the one who got him into the gym, not to slow him down, but so he could keep loving food for a long, long time. Somewhere between the workouts and the food crawls, they adopted the most adorable rescue dog, Baobao, who absolutely had to be part of the big day (and yes, he got a taste of the cake too).
The Venue: Our Saphire Estate Wedding in Sharon, MA
Tucked along the shores of Lake Massapoag, Saphire Estate is one of our favorite South Shore wedding venues to shoot. The lakefront views, the manicured gardens, and the newly built cocktail lounge with its fireplace and gold chandeliers give us so many different backdrops in a single afternoon, moody indoor portraits one minute, golden hour by the water the next. We started the morning in the Gatehouse, where the natural light poured in for getting-ready portraits, before moving through the estate grounds for the ceremony and reception.
The Details
Every detail, from the cake by Dessertworks Bakery to the soft glam looks by Beauty by Frankie Boston and Kerry Beauty Boston, came together beautifully against the estate's
timeless setting. The couple also welcomed a traditional Chinese lion dance troupe into their reception, the drums and swirl of color stopped every guest in their tracks, and
it was a beautiful way to blend their heritage into the celebration. As the sun dipped behind the lake, we moved into the reception, where laughter, good food, the thunder
of lion dance drums, and a few too many toasts carried the night.
